Ohio Turnpike reports increase in travelers, EZ Pass users throughout 2022

The Ohio Turnpike and Infrastructure Commission is reporting an increase in the number of travelers, miles traveled and EZ Pass usage at the Ohio Turnpike through nine months of 2022.
The combined number of passenger cars and commercial trucks that have traveled the 241-mile turnpike between January and September of 2022 increased by 1.5% compared to this time in 2021.
Passenger cars were up 1.3% and commercial trucks were up 2%.
Total miles traveled increased by 1.7% compared to this time in 2021. Miles traveled by passenger cars have increased by 0.5% and miles traveled by commercial trucks increased by 3.5%.
As for EZ Pass usage, 63.2% of passenger car customers used EZ Pass, which is a 2.3% increase from this time in 2021. 89% of commercial truck customers used EZ Pass, which is a 1.7% increase.
