Warren detectives are investigating a possible homicide on the city's north side.

Police responded to a victim who was shot at the intersection of Odgen Avenue and Maryland Street NW Friday evening after dispatchers received calls of several shots being fired in rapid succession.

It was reported that two men wearing ski masks opened fire on a car containing four young people.

Police found several bullet holes in the passenger side of the car and shell casings in a driveway on Ogden.

16 year old Brunswick High School student Mye'Zavier Cannady didn't survive the shooting.

The victim's parents talked with WKYC our NBC affiliate in Cleveland during a memorial service and balloon release on Saturday.

Cannady's parents called for people to put guns down and remind parents to say I love you to their kids.

More than 100 students from the Brunswick High School turned out to mourn his loss as they gathered with family and friends.

Cannady was 17 years old.
