Gas prices decline in NE Ohio, after jumping week before
Gasoline prices on average declined in the Valley by 15 cents this week
The weekly look at gas prices in Ohio by AAA shows that overall, gasoline prices declined in the Valley by 15 cents this week, after jumping the week before by 18 cents.
The average price in Northeast Ohio was $3.79, with Youngstown averaging at $3.70 per gallon, with Ravenna showing the lowest price range at $3.49, followed by Niles and Lorain at $3.63 per gallon. Independence was showing the highest prices at $3.80 per gallon.
The average price one year ago was $3.27 in Northeast Ohio.
Gasoline use was up for the week, according to Energy Information Administration, from 8.66 million barrels per day to 9.01 million barrels per day last week.
