VIENNA TWP., Ohio - State Troopers say two people were taken to area hospitals following one of several accidents that happened at a busy intersection in Vienna Township.

Drivers on Thursday morning's commute were met with icy conditions at State Routes 82 and 11.

One of those crashes occurred along eastbound Route 82 just before the Ashtabula on ramp.

When 21 News arrived on the scene, two cars were facing toward oncoming traffic.  One of the cars had struck a guardrail.

The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the two people taken to the hospital were not seriously injured.

Trucks from the Ohio Department of Transportation are salting the road surfaces.
