McDonald Christmas festival rescheduled to due to concerning statements

For the safety of the community, the Village of McDonald had to reschedule their Christmas in the Village festival due to concerning online statements.

MCDONALD, Ohio - For the safety of the community, the Village of McDonald had to reschedule their Christmas in the Village festival due to concerning online statements.

According to McDonald Police, one individual made alleged threats about the festival through Facebook.

After comments were brought to the attention of the McDonald Mayor and Village Council, they cancelled the festival that was originally supposed to be held Saturday, November 26.

Police located the individual and looked into the statements made by the individual, and accessed that they were not an actual threat to the community.
