If you saw a fireball streak across the sky Thursday night, you’re not alone.

The American Meteor Society lists on its website reports from more than 700 people who observed the bright object move above the horizon at around 7:30 p.m.

21 News heard from Warren resident George Haislip whose doorbell camera recorded the brief encounter with matter from space.

Haislip describes the object as a “green fireball”

WFMJ Digital Content Manager Robert McFerren said he spotted the celestial object from Route 45 in North Jackson.

The Meteor Society also reported sightings in Warren, Ohio, as well as New Castle and Ellwood City in Lawrence County, Pennsylvania.

In addition to reports from Ohio and Pennsylvania, the website also has sightings in Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, New York, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia, as well as Ontario, Canada.
