Two Valley residents hit big on scratch-offs this holiday season

Mahoning Valley - Two locals hit it big on Ohio Lottery Scratch-Offs this holiday season.
Wendy McCreary of Cortland won the top prize of $1,000,000 on the $1,000,000 Cashword scratch-off.
McCreary chose the $500,000 cash option and will get $360,000 after state and federal taxes.
She bought the ticket at Jak's Fine Foods on Greenville Road in Cortland.
A Youngstown man also hit it big last week, winning $20,000 while playing the $300 Million Diamond Dazzler.
Melvin Gonzalez Gomes of Youngstown bought his winning ticket at Schenley Carryout on Mahoning Avenue on Youngstown's west side.
He also took the cash option and will receive $14,400 after taxes.
If you're feeling lucky, both tickets have top prizes remaining. The $20 Cashword ticket has five top prizes remaining, while the $20 Diamond Dazzler has seven left.
