Woman arrested after child found walking in traffic on 224 in Boardman

A woman was arrested for child endangering after her son was found walking in traffic on 224 in Boardman.
According to Boardman Police, they responded to a call from a concerned citizen that a young male was walking in traffic and was almost being hit by vehicles on 224 near Market Street Tuesday afternoon.
Tiffany Wheatley was arrested after an altercation occurred between her and Boardman Police when police returned the child to his home.
According to a police report, when Police pulled into Wheatley's driveway, she exited her car and asked why her son was in the officers car. When Police responded that they had found her son walking in traffic, she became upset and began yelling at the officers.
Wheatley then told the child to run into the house, which they did.
Wheatley began charging at the officers and threatening them, according to the report.
After calling for assistance, officers were able to restrain Wheatley and handcuff her by using two sets of cuffs.
Wheatley was placed under arrest for child endangering, menacing, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.
