Motorcyclist killed in collision in Bazetta Township

The Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal motorcycle versus car crash in Bazetta Township.
According to the release, the crash happened around 4:25 p.m. Wednesday on Durst Clagg Road south of State Route 305.
Troopers say both a Chevrolet Equinox and a Harley Davidson motorcycle were traveling northbound on Durst Clagg Road when the Equinox slowed in traffic and turned toward a private driveway.
The motorcycle driver, 56-year-old Marc Jones of Cortland, lost control and traveled left of center, overturned and struck the Equinox.
Jones was thrown off the Harley when it collided with the SUV.
State Troopers say Jones was taken to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries. The driver of the Equinox was not injured.
Durst Clagg Road was closed for the crash investigation but has since reopened.
Alcohol and speed are believed to be factors in the crash.
