Hubbard's Croyle named MAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Former Hubbard and current University of Akron freshman Haley Croyle has been named the Mid-American Conference Co-Softball Pitcher of the Week.
Croyle turned in a dominating start to her collegiate career tossing 13.0 innings over four appearances en route to striking out 15 batters against only six walks.
In her collegiate debut against Creighton on Feb. 17, she came within one out of pitching the 35th no-hitter in program history and first since 2017, as she struck out 12 in a 4-0 Akron victory. Five of her seven innings, she struck out two or more batters.
Croyle again pitched the Zips to a win in her second start against Northern Colorado on Sunday, Feb. 19, allowing one run over 5.2 innings, while fanning three.
She also notched a pair of relief appearances against Tarleton State and Creighton on Saturday, Feb. 18, while collecting the save in a 4-3 triumph past the Blue Jays.
