March hearing set in Virginia for suspect in deadly Warren arson

Authorities in Trumbull County will have to wait a little longer to find out when one of three suspects charged in a deadly Warren arson will be brought from Virginia to Ohio to face trial.
According to Chesterfield County, Virginia court records, Thursday's extradition hearing for 23-year-old Zackary Gurd has been continued.
A March 9 preliminary hearing has now been scheduled for Gurd, who faces charges on eight counts in connection with the January 19th fire at a Nevada Avenue NW home that claimed the life of 16-year-old Chassidy Broadstone.
Gurd is accused of bringing a can of gasoline into the home, which is believed to have started the deadly fire.
U.S. Marshals arrested Gurd less than 24 hours after he fled from his Youngstown home, taking a bus to Richmond, Virginia, where he was caught attempting to escape on foot.
Gurd, along with Brendan Daviduk and Patricia Zarlingo are charged with aggravated murder, attempted murder, arson, burglary, and tampering with evidence.
While Daviduk and Zarlingo remain in the Trumbull County Jail, Gurd is in the Riverside Regional Jail in Virginia awaiting his next court hearing.
