EPA deploys mobile laboratory to East Palestine for air monitoring
The Trace Atmospheric Gas Analyzer (TAGA) mobile laboratory conducts real-time air monitoring and sampling analyses during waste removal.

EAST PALESTINE, Ohio - As testing efforts continue in East Palestine, the EPA is deploying another mobile laboratory to the area.
The Trace Atmospheric Gas Analyzer (TAGA) mobile laboratory conducts real-time air monitoring and sampling analyses during waste removal.
The mobile lab lets the EPA get air results in real-time for specific chemicals instead of having to send the samples offsite to a lab.
EPA officials say the mobile unit will ensure the removal of waste is done in a manner that protects the health of the community.
