EPA: More than 575 homes screened in East Palestine area

Home screenings in the East Palestine area continue as the EPA says they've now tested over 500 homes.
A release from the EPA says they've conducted 578 home screenings and continue to monitor at 16 stations within the community.
Following a public meeting and resource fair Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. at East Palestine High School, the EPA will open a command post outside of East Palestine near Columbiana. The organization says this will give officials enough space to park all mobile command posts, labs and trailers.
The CDC and Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) will meet with local and state health partners to conduct Assessment of Chemical Exposure investigation surveys in East Palestine.
FEMA has 66 personnel are still onsite and continue to help with outreach across the affected areas.
