Congressman Johnson announces hearing to address environmental response to East Palestine derailment

Valley Congressman, Bill Johnson along with House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairwoman, Cathy McMorris Rodgers have announced on Thursday a subcommittee hearing to address the environmental response to the East Palestine train derailment disaster.
In a joint statement, Johnson and Rodgers said they will be hearing from local, state and federal officials regarding the efforts they've made and the action they've taken to address the various environmental hazards to the village.
"The communities that have been hurt deserve full transparency. The residents of these communities must be able to trust that their air, water and soil is not a threat to their health," the statement read.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday, March 28 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rayburn House Office Building in Washington, D.C.
