Warren man indicted on counterfeiting charges

A Warren man has been indicted by the Trumbull County Grand Jury on multiple counts of counterfeiting after he allegedly tried to pass fake bills to businesses a number of times.
According to the indictment, 36-year-old Joshua Vigorito is facing six counts of counterfeiting stemming from a number of incidents between September 7, 2022, and January 8, 2023.
Trumbull County Jail records show Vigorito was arrested on September 7 and November 22, 2022, and February 14, 2023. All arrests included a counterfeiting charge.
21 News reported on his last arrest in February when Vigorito allegedly tried to spend $22 in fake money at a Shell gas station in Niles.
Vigorito also allegedly used fake $20 bills to make purchases at three fast-food restaurants in Hubbard this past September.
