Warren man accused of attempting to strangle pregnant woman for throwing out his Xbox

WARREN, Ohio - A Warren man has been arrested after police say he strangled the pregnant mother of his child for throwing out his Xbox.
According to a police report from March 7, police were dispatched to a home on Royal Mall Drive in response to a domestic violence call.
Upon arrival, police spoke with the victim who said the suspect fled on foot. Police say the suspect, identified as 27-year-old Jamir Fudge was the father of the victim's first child and that she was five months pregnant with her second.
Police say Fudge and the victim do not live together, were never married and are no longer dating, but he comes over on occasions to watch his child.
The police report states the two have been arguing recently and that the victim threw out Fudge's Xbox. Police say Fudge broke into the home around midnight on March 7 and yelled at the victim asking for his Xbox.
Police say Fudge grabbed the victim before she could reply and forced her up against the wall causing the back of her head to strike the wall multiple times. Fudge then allegedly put his hands around the victim's neck attempting to strangle her before letting go to search for his Xbox.
Police say Fudge later came back to strangle her a second time, took her cell phone and fled the scene.
Police did not observe any visible injuries on the victim's neck.
Domestic Violence and Aggravated Burglary charges were filed against Fudge. He was eventually arrested on Thursday, February 23 and was released on Friday. Police say Fudge had two prior convictions.
Another police report dated February 26, just a few weeks before the incident states that Fudge allegedly stole the same victim's car while she was sleeping, knowing he was not authorized to use it.
That report states that Fudge had active warrants from multiple jurisdictions that have safety warnings attached.
