A multi-vehicle traffic accident involving a tractor-trailer backed up Friday morning commuters traveling on Interstate 80 in Mercer County.

Shortly before 7 a.m., the truck was in the median of the interstate just west of Route 18 about 4 miles before the state line.

A 21 News videographer on the scene reported seeing debris scattered along the road.

According to PennDOT, the interstate was closed for three hours from the I-80 westbound on-ramp from Interstate 376 to the Ohio state line.

The road has since reopened.

21 News is working to find out if anyone was injured.
