Niles mother charged with endangering multiple children in OVI crash indicted

NILES, Ohio - A Niles mother charged with endangering her 22-year-old son and two juvenile children has been indicted in court on Wednesday.
Forty-nine-year-old Jennifer Zurick was indicted on one count of aggravated vehicular assault, two counts of endangering children and one count of OVI.
The charges stem from an incident from November of 2022 when Zurick was involved in a crash with her 14, 15 and 22 year old children in the car with her.
Police say Zurick failed to negotiate a curb while traveling northbound on North road striking two mailboxes, a sewer cover, a stop sign and a utility pole at a high rate of speed.
Troopers with OSP say they located 11 empty 50ml fireball whiskey containers in Zurick's vehicle.
Police say the 14-year-old was transported to the hospital with a lacerated liver and spleen.
Zurick is scheduled to be arraigned on May 1 in the Trumbull County Court of Common Pleas.
