Plea planned in YSU stadium low flight case

YOUNGSTOWN - The three-and-a-half-year-long legal saga may be coming to an end for a pilot accused of flying too close to the YSU stadium during a Penguins home game.
The attorney representing Christopher Wilkinson has filed a notice that he intends to change his earlier not-guilty plea to charges of inducing panic, disorderly conduct, and improper operation of an aircraft.
Wilkinson's trial is scheduled to begin Wednesday in the courtroom of Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Carla Baldwin.
Authorities say Wilkinson's small plane flew near the home crowd in September 2019.
The case has been rescheduled several times.
Ohio Supreme Court Chief Justice Sharon Kennedy recently rejected a request by Wilkinson's attorney to have Judge Baldwin remove herself from hearing the case.
