Senior Consultant, Tony Stratis running for Mahoning County Recorder

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - A local Senior Consultant has announced on Tuesday that he will be running for the position of Mahoning County Recorder.
Tony Stratis has announced his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Mahoning County Recorder, stating that he will bring a "wealth of experience from both private and public sectors and a passion for public service" to the race.
According to a press release, Stratis has spent years working on creative solutions to solve common issues and believes the Recorder's Office can become "transformative" and "brought to the people" rather than folks needing to come to the office.
Stratis has been involved with the community for many years with some accomplishments including co-founding the non-profit Classroom 2 and serving on boards of WRTA and New Urban Commons.
According to a press release, Stratis has worked over 40 campaigns in his tenure during his election work.
"I am the only candidate in this race who has the experience in both private and public sectors to utilize modern technology to cut spending and bring the office into the 21st century. I want to utilize my skills and talents to serve the county I love," Stratis said.
Stratis will be making a formal, in-person announcement at Vintage Estates in Boardman on Saturday, April 29 at 4:30 p.m.
