A Beaver Township Police officer who was sent to the hospital after an altercation with a suspect in North Lima Friday night is now recovering back home.

According to Beaver Township Police Chief, Eric Datillo, as of Tuesday, the officer has been discharged from the hospital.

The officer was sent to the hospital following an altercation with a suspect, identified as 35-year-old Zachary Crespo when police from numerous agencies across the Valley responded to a domestic dispute call on Old Hickory Court Friday night.

Additionally, 21 News received the 911 call recording from the domestic dispute incident. In the recording, the victim tells dispatchers that Crespo was breaking windows in a home.

Body camera footage provided to 21 News by OSP shows troopers apprehending Crespo with a taser.

Chief Datillo says more information is expected to be released on Wednesday.
