African American Achievers Heritage Fest returning to Warren for 37th year

The African American Achievers Heritage Festival will be returning to Warren for its 37th year.
The festival, organized by Pride & Joy Today LLC leader, Sherree Glover will take place on High Street in Warren from Friday, June 2 to Sunday, June 4.
Glover says with the assistance of Torch Youth Conference Pastor, Paul Ringold, and other non-profit sponsors along the way, Pride & Joy has been able to grow the project and continue community outreach.
"We have expanded from being able to not only provide activities ... now we are also feeding the kids," Glover said.
Opening ceremonies will begin on June 2 at 3:00 p.m. featuring the Black National Anthem sung by Tara Elkins. From there, there will be special group performances and a prize giveaway.
Glover says more donations and volunteers are needed. Anyone interested can call 234-243-1898 or email [email protected]
