Picture a perfect dinner, your favorite drink,  and a relaxing setting for any good time - all under one roof.
The only thing is - it might not be where you'd picture it...

"The whole idea is to bring people back to Sharon, develop the town and make it a regional destination area," says Pete Grabaskas, operations manager of The Block at Nova Destinations.

It's an idea hatched by Valley natives Katie and Walt Novosel.

"We have an authentic Irish pub that is opening today," said Grabaskas Thursday. "We also have a speakeasy-themed restaurant, which is more of an Italian menu...you'll feel like you're walking into a speakeasy in 1920." Both feature chefs Anthony Munger and Jason Puryear.

Grabaskas explained that the Novosels' vision for this entire block of Chestnut Avenue came from visits to places like Epcot at Disney World.

"Walt's really a visionary in developing and opening themed and service-immersive experiences," he said. "Not just one restaurant, one type of food or large menu, a very immersive experience in food and environment as well."

It's a vision that coincided with downtown Sharon's resurgence over the last year.
