FirstEnergy says Monday morning's outage for more than 2,600 homes and businesses in Brookfield Township was planned.

Trumbull County 911 dispatchers say they began getting calls at around 3:30 a.m. that electricity was out in the area.

A spokesperson for the utility tells 21 News that the outage was planned so crews could replace equipment along a high-voltage power line.

According to FirstEnergy, customers were notified ahead of time, and power was restored by 6:45 a.m.
