The Western Reserve Transit Authority is now accepting entries to its new Art On The Move campaign.

"From the Butler Art Museum to commercial wall murals — the Valley is home to art that inspires and moves us. Local art and its talented creators are an important part of the essence of our community," the press release from WRTA says.

A total of 9 entries, themed around public transportation in the valley, will be chosen to have their artwork displayed on the side of a WRTA bus, on the digital sign above Federal Station in downtown Youngstown, and in WRTA television segments.

In addition to the displays, WRTA says winning creators will receive a $100 Visa gift card.

The campaign is accepting entries from all valley artists from now until July 7th. Before submitting an entry, you must register as a participant by June 30th.

Additional details, including guidelines for submitted artwork and how to enter, can be found here.

This year's Art On The Move campaign will be judged by three local artists who are volunteering their time.

Those judges are Joyce Mistovich, the Director of Education for The Butler Institute of American Art, Patrick McGlone, Owner of The Overall Paint Company, and
Kevin Willis, Principle Architect at Strollo Architects, LLC.

According to the WRTA press release, winners will be contacted shortly after July 7th and the artwork revealed to the public at an August event, where the creators will be honored and the buses, covered in new artwork, unveiled.
