City of Sharon hosting Strawberry Fest Saturday near roundabout

SHARON, Pa. - Farmer's market season in Downtown Sharon is right around the corner, kicking off Saturday July 8. But folks can get in on the fun a little early at the Sharon Strawberry Fest on Saturday, June 17.
The event will last from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Downtown Sharon Farmer's Market's new location at 101 Chestnut Avenue next to Quaker Steak & Lube near the Sharon roundabout.
The fest will feature fresh strawberries courtesy of Ferris Farms Produce along with strawberry treats from Allie's Sweet Tooth, artisan vendors, live music, kid-friendly activities by Sharon Robotics and much more.
Sharon Downtown Events Coordinator, Courtney Cilli says this new location is another way to allow for the Farmer's Market to continue to grow and expand.
"We believe that part of a vibrant downtown includes a dynamic farmer's marketplace for the community to gather," Cilli said.
If strawberries aren't your thing, no worries, Ferris Farms will also be bringing canned goods, plants, Amish donuts and other produce, and OH Donuts' food truck will also make an appearance.
Farmer's Market season kicks off July 8 and will run through the month of October.
