The fate of a Warren man accused of raping a 13-year-old girl hangs in the balance as jurors continue to work toward a verdict.

Francis Lacamera, 43, is accused of repeatedly raping a teenage girl from Hubbard over a nine-month period.

Reports say the alleged sexual assaults started after the victim and Lacamera were watching a movie in a bedroom.

Lacamera allegedly touched the girl inappropriately over her clothes during that time.

The victim said LaCamera told the juvenile that it was her fault that the incident happened and that her mother would be extremely mad at her.

Police say LaCamera told the victim that she needed to keep the incident a secret. Police reports say the victim was raped multiple times.

Lacamera was secretly indicted on nine counts of rape and one count of gross sexual imposition.

The jury went home without reaching a verdict after starting deliberations around 1 p.m.

Deliberations will resume Friday at 9 a.m.

LaCamera could face life in prison if convicted.
