Boardman Home Depot employee accused of threatening co-workers

BOARDMAN TWP., Ohio - A Boardman Home Depot employee reportedly unhappy about losing his job was arrested for allegedly threatening to bring a gun to shoot up the store on his last day of work.
Fifty-eight-year-old Albert DeLeon was arrested at the store on Thursday and charged with intimidation and disorderly conduct.
According to a police report, the store manager told DeLeon has been frustrated and making comments after recently being told that his seasonal employment would end on Friday, July 7.
Fellow employees reported that DeLeon was making comments and gestures that those co-workers viewed as threatening.
One employee said that DeLeon said he would be bringing his gun with him on his last day and advised her to "have your bulletproof vest".
Other co-workers said DeLeon made gun gestures with his hand, pointing at them saying "pop, pop, pop".
DeLeon also allegedly threatened to use an AK47 to shoot the store up.
Denying some of the allegations, DeLeon told the arresting officers that some of his comments were made as a joke.
Due to previous convictions, DeLeon is not permitted to own a firearm, according to the police report.
Police have ordered DeLeon to stay away from the store.
