A Warren woman has pled not guilty to her alleged involvement in an incident where a 16-week-old baby stopped breathing as a result of a drug overdose.
Forty-six-year-old, Alfreda Provitt pled not guilty to one count of child endangerment during an arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Wednesday and her bond was set at $20,000.
The charge stems from an incident where police were called to an apartment on Plaza Avenue after a 16-week-old boy she was watching stopped breathing.
Police say the baby's skin was turning gray and it is suspected that he suffered from a drug overdose. He was revived after receiving Narcan and was transported to Akron Children's Hospital.
