YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - The Public Library of Youngstown & Mahoning County (PLYMC) has announced on Wednesday a series of community feedback conversations as part of its strategic planning process.

The library is seeking valuable insights and ideas from patrons, community members and stakeholders to help shape its future directions and initiatives.

During these conversations, patrons and community members will have the opportunity to share their perspectives with PLYMC Director and CEO Aimee Fifarek. Dates for several locations are posted here, and more will continue to be added through the beginning of October.

If you're unable to attend any of these dates, an online survey is available here where you can contribute your thoughts and suggestions. If you don't have access to internet paper copies of the survey are available at branches.

PLYMC began the collaborative strategic planning process at the beginning of 2023, holding focus groups and town halls with its nearly 200 employees at every branch along with PLYMC Board of Trustee members to charge a roadmap for the future encompassing a wide range of issues.

The final plan will be released by the end of 2023.
