Mother of baby who tested positive for cocaine sentenced to probation
The mother of a baby who tested positive for cocaine has been handed her sentence in court on Thursday.
Thirty-seven-year-old Rose Geisler was sentenced to two years of probation on a charge of child endangerment.
The charge stems from an incident from June of 2022 when Geisler's son, who was just three months old at the time was taken to Akron Children's Hospital in Boardman after she found vomit on his onesie and observed him breathing abnormally.
According to police, Geisler's brother stayed at her home and she told officers he "might have had cocaine on his hands" when touching her son. The baby had since tested positive for cocaine.
