POLAND, Ohio - The Poland Local School Board will be holding a meeting Tuesday night to discuss new security measures coming to the district including flock cameras.

Poland Local Schools Superintendent, Craig Hockenberry tells 21 News the purpose of these cameras is to take pictures of the license plates of vehicles that enter school grounds and identify those of known offenders who are not permitted on school property.

Local authorities will promptly be notified if an offender is spotted on campus.

Additionally, other security measures being discussed include expanding the perimeter for police to patrol school grounds, adequate security signage, lighting and security staffing during school sponsored events.

The meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. Tuesday night in the Dobbins Room.
