A Warren man is charged with child endangering after a relative told police that he tried to suffocate his own three-month-old son.
Twenty-three-year-old Kevin Tolliver pleaded not guilty to the charge during a video arraignment in Warren Municipal Court on Thursday.
Tolliver’s girlfriend told police that she found him using his hand to cover their infant son’s nose and mouth after the child began crying at their apartment early Tuesday.
The woman told officers that she believed the baby couldn’t breathe at the time.
Police say the baby appeared to be unharmed.
Tolliver, who is free on bond, has another court hearing scheduled for October.
