A Warren man has been sentenced for selling hallucinogenic drugs.

Judge Andrew Logan on Tuesday ordered 24-year-old Matthew Cottrill to spend three years under intensive supervision, beginning with a sentence to the Northeast Ohio Community Alternative Program, also known as Neocap.

Until a bed is available at Neocap, Cottrill will be held in the county jail.

Cottrill was secretly indicted by a grand jury following an investigation by Trumbull County Sheriff TAG officers in May 2021.

Undercover agents say Cottrill was involved with the sale of methylenedioxy-methamphetamine, commonly known as Ecstasy, and Psilocybin, which is often derived from mushrooms.
