A Trumbull County Judge is refusing to let his court pay the cost of hiring a witness for the defense of a Warren woman accused of running down and killing another Warren woman.

Judge Andrew Logan on Tuesday denied a request from Kenyana Pennock’s defense attorney for money to hire an expert to reconstruct the November 6th incident that resulted in the death of 36-year-old Jesaree Harris.

Attorney David Engler told the court that Pennock would instead raise funds to pay for their own expert.

Pennock, who turned 37 earlier this week, is scheduled to go on trial in December on charges of murder, reckless homicide, and felonious assault.

Police believe Harris was struck by a car at Drexel Avenue and Parkman Road NW and died less than a week later.
