Members of the Youngstown Education Association (YEA) will be gathering at East High School Thursday night to hold a candlelit vigil and vow to remain there until an agreement is made with the board.

According to a press release from YEA, union members scheduled to show up at East High School at 3:30 p.m. where we're told negotiations will resume at 4:00 p.m.

A candlelit vigil will begin at 8:00 p.m. at East High School with union spokesperson, Jim Courim vowing not to leave until negotiations are met and the strike ends.

"Our students have now missed 11 days of instruction amidst the Board's delay tactics and failure to bargain a fair agreement that meets the needs of our community. Our bargaining team and members will remain at East High School all night if necessary until an agreement is reached," Courim said.

Thursday marks day 12 of YEA being on strike.
