Salvation Army taking applications for Christmas giveaways

The Salvation Army will soon be taking applications for its annual Christmas toy giveaways.
The applications will be opened on October 10th, 11th, 12th, and 13th from 10:00am to 2:00pm, and again on October 17th, 18th, and 19th from 3:00pm to 7:00pm
The Salvation Army says that anyone asking for toy donations must have a child in the family aged 14 or under, and will need to provide a current photo ID for all adults in the home, proof of all household income for the past 30 days (pay stubs, utility allowance statements, SSI/SSD award letters, etc), and proof of your current address.
If you currently receive assistance from Job and Family Services, you will need to provide a printout of that assistance as well. If your family does not receive any public assistance at all, you must provide insurance cards and birth certificates for all children in the home.
The Salvation Army also announced it's annual Christmas Food Box drive-through giveaway, which will be open from 10:00am until noon on December 15th. You do not need to apply to take part. The boxes will be handed out one per car on a first come, first serve basis to the first 500 cars through the drive through.
The applications and food giveaway will both be at The Salvation Army in Warren at 270 Franklin St. SE.
