Man jailed, ordered to pay restitution in Leavittsburg road rage case
Harper will serve 27 days in jail, three years probation, and pay $2,355 of restitution to repay the teen for damages to their vehicle.

In August, police began investigating after a teenager told police a man had forced them off the road in Leavittsburg. Now, that man is in jail serving time for a misdemeanor assault charge.
James Harper, 43, was originally charged with felony assault, but pled down to a misdemeanor.
Harper was sentenced to 180 days in jail, but had 150 days suspended and was credited another 3 days for time served. He is set to be released on October 18th.
In addition to the jail time, Harper will serve three years probation ending on September 22, 2026 and must pay restitution in the amount of $2,355.28 to the teen for damages caused to their vehicle.
