A Farrell man has plead guilty to two fourth degree felonies after a police chase from Brookfield into Sharon.

Robert Russell, 39, has plead to attempted failure to comply and attempted tampering with evidence. In exchange for his plea, two misdemeanor charges for obstructing justice and resisting arrest.

According to the Trumbull County Prosecutor's Office, He will be sentenced up to 18 months for each felony after he undergoes background investigation conducted by probation officers.

The charges stem from a 2022 traffic stop for a headlight violation. According to Brookfield Police, they stopped Russell and found what was believed to be a bag of narcotics under his leg.

While trying to apprehend Russell, he put his car into drive and fled from the stop.

A police chase ensued on South Stateline Road where Russell got of his car and ran into Sharon, where he was arrested a short time after.
