If you've purchased an air fryer on Amazon, you'll want to check the brand because of a new recall.

Secura is recalling more than 6,000 of its air fryers due to fire and burn hazards due to a wire connection in the device that can overheat.

The recalled products have the model number SAF-53D (TXG-DT16E) with the date code 1901 and model number SAF-53 (TXG-DS16) with date codes 1903 and 1904. The air fryers are black with a silver accent and have the model number and date code printed on the bottom.

They were sold between May 2019 and October 2020.

If you have the recalled product, stop using it and contact the company for either a $45 Amazon gift card or a free replacement.

There have been nine reports of the air fryers catching fire, burning and smoking. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
