Warren man pleads not guilty after allegedly abandoning cats

A Warren man plead not guilty to charges after allegedly abandoning multiple cats.
57-year-old Rueben Shaw plead not guilty to abandoning animals and prohibitions concerning companion animals in Trumbull County Court Monday.
According to a criminal complaint filed on October 6, Shaw abandoned three cats at a random property in Warren.
Lori Shandor of Animal Welfare League Trumbull County, who was identified as the complaint in the case, told 21 News that Shaw allegedly took three cats that looked as if no one was taking care of them and dropped them off at a random property.
Shandor says Shaw did not know the address of the property and to her knowledge did not get the consent of the property owner to leave the cats there or inform the owner the animals were going to be there.
The condition of the cats are unknown.
Shaw's bond was set at $2,500, and no future court date has been set in his case yet.
