Salem Amvets Riders donate $10K to Save22 to combat veteran suicide
The Save 22 organization draws its name from the 22 veterans who lose their battle with mental health conditions each day.
A local organization is helping combat veteran suicide through a $10,000 donation.
Salem Amvets Riders Post 45 made the donation to Save22, another local organization that helps provide education and prevention of veteran and first responder suicide. Save22 offers counseling and other programs to divert suicidal ideas from veterans.

The Amvet Riders donation was collected during their annual poker run that occurs on the 3rd Saturday of September.
