PYMATUNING TWP., Pa. - A Sharon man was killed after a deadly crash in Pymatuning Township Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Pymatuning Township Police Department, 35-year-old Benjamin Scalf of Sharon was killed in a single-vehicle crash while traveling northbound on SR-18.

Police say Scalf's vehicle went off the road south of Gosser Street before traveling several hundred feet rolling over multiple times in the process. The crash happened shortly before 3:00 p.m.

Mercer County Coroner, John Libonati determined Scalf's cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head and the chest. 

The road was shut down for nearly two hours due to phone and electrical line hazards.

Pymatuning Township Police along with the Transfer Fire Department, Greenville Fire Department, Mcgonigle Ambluance, PennDOT, Pymatuning Telephone Company and Penn Power all responded to the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
