State Police have filed seventeen charges against an Ellwood City man who they say ran over mailboxes, and crashed into a mobile home and a house while being chased by troopers.

Officers have identified 28-year-old Isiah Carr as the man they found slumped over the wheel of a running car on Guy Way in Wayne Township just after 11 p.m. on October 14th.

When officers tapped on the window, they say Carr drove away crashing into a mobile home. The chase continued through the township, striking three mailboxes, a retaining wall, and a trampoline.

When the car ran into a home in Ellwood City, police say Carr ran away, but was captured.

According to police, a search of the car revealed evidence of narcotic sales as well as firearms violations.

Carr was arraigned on charges that include fleeing police, DUI, running stop signs and red lights, careless driving, driving without headlights, reckless driving, driving without a license, and possessing a firearm.

Carr, whose bond was set at $50,000, faces another court hearing on Thursday.
