Youngstown Police have identified a suspect in a Youngstown robbery that left one victim in the hospital Monday morning.

According to police, Benjamin White, 26, is a suspect in an early morning robbery involving two people who were robbed at gunpoint for an unspecified amount of money on the 200 block of Gaither Avenue.

White allegedly shot a 42-year-old male victim before fleeing the scene.

YPD identified the suspect with the help of one of the victims and issued a warrant for felonious assault and aggravated robbery.

White is six feet tall, 210 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.

According to police, the suspect is considered to be armed and dangerous.

White is also wanted in Columbiana County for allegedly defrauding Norfolk Southern out of over $16,000 worth of funds intended for victims of the East Palestine train derailment.

A warrant has been filed in Columbiana County for his arrest with charges of theft by deception and falsification.
