The Columbiana County Humane Society has tracked down the owner of a male pig that was found in Salem.

Theresa McGuire-George of the Columbiana County Humane Society tells 21 News that last week, a woman reported seeing the pig running around with a cow. A farmer in the area reported seeing the same pig on his farm as well, leading agents to believe that it was traveling from farm to farm.

The Humane Society captured the pig on Sunday, near Garfield Road.

According to the Humane Society's Facebook page, the owner has been found, but has chosen not to claim the pig and instead put him up for adoption.

The pig, now known as L.B. will be placed up for adoption once it has been neutered.
