Grand jury to consider murder case of Youngstown woman accused of running down man

A grand jury will decide if there is enough evidence to put a Youngstown woman on trial for the murder of a man who authorities say was run over by a car on the city’s west side.
During a hearing on Thursday, Youngstown Municipal Court Judge Renee DeSalvo sent the case against 32-year-old Shanay Jacobs to the Mahoning County Grand Jury for consideration.
Jacobs is charged with murder and domestic violence in connection with last month’s death of 30-year-old Nathaniel Watson.
According to authorities, Watson was found underneath a Ford Fusion in the front yard of a home on the 200 block of S. Schenley Avenue on October 15.
The man was pulled out from under the vehicle and emergency personnel began to take life-saving measures, but Watson passed away.
As of Friday, Jacobs remained jailed on $750,000 bond.
