Former Valley Congressman Tim Ryan thinks President Joe Biden should not run for reelection next year.

With the latest poll showing President Biden trailing Donald Trump in five of the six most important battleground states one year before the presidential election, Ryan spoke with CNN.

Ryan said Biden should focus on rebuilding the nation as a new candidate is tapped to rebuild the democratic party.

“I think that would force the hand of the Republicans,” said Ryan. “Those polls showed a generic Democrat beats Trump. So, what's in the best interest of the country here?”

Ryan says, he has no issue with Biden and believes the President is doing the best he can with juggling two wars and the state of the economy. But he also says, Biden just isn't connecting with voters on issues that are important to them, which could be risky for Democrats.
