YOUNGSTOWN - Emergency crews in Youngstown were called out early Thursday to investigate a reported house fire on the city's Northside.

Around 2 a.m., smoke was seen billowing from a home at the Corner of Wirt Boulevard and Alameda Avenue.

We're told, the house has been empty for about a month now and that when firefighters got there, they found the backdoor unlocked.

Officials think the fire started in a bedroom, but they didn't find anyone inside.
