Ursuline and Chardon play Friday for the first time since the 2021 regular season Friday with a berth in the state semi finals on the line.

The Irish are 13-0 & the Hilltoppers 10-3 with losses coming to Columbia, Columbus Bishop Watterson and Kenston.

"They're a team similar to some of the other teams we played from a philosophy standpoint, Canfield, Steubenville and St. Joe's," said head coach Dan Reardon.

The Irish have won their last two playoff games by a total of 10 points.

"We're trying to eliminate the little mistakes, " said linebacker/running back Ty"req Donlow, in reference to wins over Canfield and Villa Angela St. Joe that came down to one possession games.

"That shouldn't happen," continued Donlow adding they want to eliminate the little stuff.

Reardon knows the Irish have to eliminate mistakes. "We have to win on first down, both on offense and defense and can't give them extra possessions."

Kickoff from Portage Community Bank Stadium - Harry Gilchrest Field is 7:00pm
